CGIAR Photo Contest 2006 - Honourable mention

Virus
free plant of Velvet bean growing in tissue culture
Velvet bean (Mucuna
pruriens) accessions were infected with seedborne viruses at the ILRI genebank.
Plants were successfully cleaned through tissue culture techniques, making them
available for further germplasm distribution to the end users - farmers that
want to grow healthy forages.
Photo taken on May 2005 at the Forage Diversity
project, ILRI, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
